Bradman of T20 cricket

504 runs in 12 matches at an average of 45.82 and a strike rate of 141.97 are the statistics of the ‘Orange Cap’ holder, Gautam Gambhir. Nicknamed ‘Bradman of T20 cricket’, Gambhir has little left to prove in shortest format of the game. His insatiable hunger for runs is evident every time he wield’s his bat. Infact, his batting exploits have left fellow team mate, the explosive
Virender Sehwag, far behind, as far as runs scored in the tournament are concerned. There is no doubt that both batsmen together are virtually invincible but more than Sehwag it is Gambhir who has been the real nemesis for the bowlers. His Bradmanesque consistency in the tournament is a worry for his opponents and a real motivation for his home team.

Delhi Daredevils, currently, are in a do-or-die position and need to win all their remaining matches to cement their place in the semi-finals. Gautam Gambhir’s experience and his form will be tested to the limited in the rest of the matches and if Delhi has to win, Gambhir has to fire on all cylinders.
